I shared a few of my paintings showing close-up views of several bamboo plants, showing the beauty and elegance of the stems and clusters of leaves on a bright sunny day, in the wind, in heavy rain, during a snowfall, or on a moonlit night.
Today, I would like to share my painting “Joy of Fishing at a River Lined with Bamboo Plants along its Banks.” It features a bamboo grove with many bamboo plants growing close together by the riverside. A man is seen fishing while seated on the deck of his boat, which has a matting awning cover at the midsection to provide shelter from sun, rain, and snow. The boat is anchored near some big rocks.
Tan It Koon
Before retirement, Dr Tan It Koon was, among many appointments, Head of Clinical Biochemistry at SGH’s Dept of Pathology. He was the Deputy Chairman of the National Theatre Trust and Chairman for Grants and Scholarships of the Spore Cultural Foundation. He received the National Day Awards, PBM, and PPA, for his contribution to cultural and community development and excellence in Public Administration.
