A sharing by Ling Sing Lin
This is the title of a musical, based on what would happen if Juliet did not end her life because of Romeo. She gets a fresh beginning and a second chance at love.
I did not watch the musical. The innovative title had piqued my interest. The title had only half of two closely linked names, whereby one name generally does not appear without the other.
I was thinking of the other dual names that are always associated with each other. I thought there would be a plethora of closely associated dual names. But I was wrong.
Fictional Characters
-Romeo & Juliet, the famous Shakespearean tragic couple who were not destined to be together.
-Tom & Jerry, created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. This series of comedy short films feature the rivalry between Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse.
-Hansel & Gretel, the brother and sister pair in the Grimms fairy tale collection.
-Jack and Jill, the nursery rhyme where Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.

However, I am sure that among your social groups, there are many close knit couples, whereby whenever you see one spouse, the other is invariably close by. When you mention one name, immediately the spouse’s name comes to mind. Such couples are indeed blessed.
Gratitude
All of us often take things for granted, and forget to be grateful when things are in equilibrium. I recall that when I was in my callow youth, I took my supple skin, slim figure, good health, high level of energy and peaceful life as a matter of course.
As the years pass, we complain about lost youth and vitality, loss of friends and partners, aches and pains. Those who were part of a close knit couple become “& Juliet”.
