Yesterday morning was another wet day. But I braved the rain and went out. I was hoping that it would stop soon. It has been quite a while since I have not gone out for a long walk due to the recent scorching weather. But now, with a bit of rain that made it cooler, I took the opportunity to go for a long walk in the city and practise one of my favourite hobbies – photography.
The rain eventually stopped slightly after lunch. The sky was slowly turning from pale white and grey to blue. The sun started to show its heat in the late afternoon. By then, I had already done almost 16 thousand steps and needed to sit down and have a cold drink.
It was a nice walk, playing tourist for a day, taking pictures and soaking up some heat and getting my feet wet from puddles of water. I eventually did almost 20 thousand steps for the day. It was energizing and gave me a good feeling.
I told myself I needed to walk whenever possible as God had given me a pair of legs meant for walking. Better make good use of them and not let them go to waste. I do enjoy my city walk and hope to do it more often.
