You may remember that last year, I shared an album of stamps featuring my paintings, produced jointly by China and Japan, to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Agreement on Peace and Cultural Exchange between the two countries. I was invited as an ambassador for cultural and artistic exchange in Chinese-influenced painting style. The album was a success, and I was used to creating a second stamp album.
This stamp album featuring my paintings results from the collaboration between China and 4 Western countries: Holland, Finland, Luxembourg, and New Zealand. Recently, I received several copies of the newly produced album through a courier delivery service from China. I am glad to share with you some pages of the album.
Tan It Koon
Before retirement, Dr Tan It Koon was, among many appointments, Head of Clinical Biochemistry at SGH’s Dept of Pathology. He was the Deputy Chairman of the National Theatre Trust and Chairman for Grants and Scholarships of the Spore Cultural Foundation. He received the National Day Awards, PBM, and PPA, for his contribution to cultural and community development and excellence in Public Administration.
